Settling For Nothing Less Than the Best
We should settle for nothing less than the best from Him who has called us, and gave His best.
We can not settle for the average, but seek to be an excellent example to the world of
who we are in Jesus Christ.
He bore Himself fully upon that cross for us, and He walked
out of that grave victorious, as should we. We should walk as He walks, victorious over the world.
I hear the words of Paul ringing through my soul, "are you not acting as mere men?" What are mere men? Mere men are those without the supernatural covenant of God over and in their lives. They are the ones who have only themselves to depend on. They create their world, their prosperity, and are duly limited by their own hands. That's you and me when we neglect to see and understand that we are to live more than a "normal" life. This is for us, and it is for those who watch us.
We must press in and find out what it is in our lives that is hindering the supernatural power of God to be demonstrated.
No one should be able to say to us, "where is your God?" but rather, they should say, "Take me to your leader."
29 And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. 30 Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus."
31 After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.
