I Heard a Tale...
Years ago, I heard someone say that they saw a crippled person walk, rise right up out of the wheelchair and walk away from it. This was cool. They did not teach those kinds of things in my church, but I read about them every day in the Bible. Jesus healed the
blind man, and the deaf man, He cast out the spirit of sickness from Peter's mother.. and she rose and prepared a meal for them. I had to laugh at that one.
I thought it was cool that someone could be healed today. I envisioned the person no longer having to navigate hard terrain in our society or even in that person's own home. It was just cool that the person was healed, and that Jesus was still alive on planet earth. (smiles)
That began a quest for me, to find this Jesus and get connected with Him. As time went on, it became very obvious through the media that Jesus was doing things on planet earth all throughout the world. There was no denying it, even if my family and church family seemed to sweep it under the rug. They called the ministers, "faith healing charlatan" and for them, that was enough to close them down, change the conversation, and go on living their predictable lives. But, it was not enough for me.
What about you? What are you going to do about the reports you hear on the media?
Pick up your bible, yield to the Lord, and let us allow Him to turn the world upside down once again.
Start reading the book of Acts.
