Dear Prophet... longing for the old days

Job 29:2-6 NIV
[2] “How I long for the months gone by, for the days when God watched over me, [3] when his lamp shone on my head and by his light I walked through darkness! [4] Oh, for the days when I was in my prime, when God's intimate friendship blessed my house, [5] when the Almighty was still with me and my children were around me, [6] when my path was drenched with cream and the rock poured out for me streams of olive oil.

Dear Prophet,
Don't let these be the words of your heart, where longing for past glory dims your eyes to your vision our Father has placed within you. Shake yourself off and put your left foot out in front of you and walk again.

Take a step for today, and again for tommorow. Pretty soon, you'll find your heart restored to the hope He put inside of you.

Shake it off and walk again. The sun is about to crest the hill. The sky already shows it's light. Be dressed and ready for the day ahead. God has great things planned... be ready.

Dear prophet,

They say the office of a prophet comes with a podium. This depends on the assignment the has you in at the time. But, have you heard the whispers that the world is not interested in the things of God? John Wesley had heard the same, but it did not stop the Lord from working through John.
Consider: “Then Wesley gave a message on Isaiah 53:5, and before he had finished the crowd had

Dear prophet,

Did you rejoice when you first heard the Lord's voice call you to speak for Him?  Did you think being His prophet would bring you a satisfaction your heart desired?

Did you read or hear that the first joys of a prophet's call are soon cast aside under the burden of the revealing of His heart?  Did pain and grief overwhelm
Dear prophet,

Do you feel yourself becoming cold and indifferent?  Are you numb from the warfare and rejection?

Do you fear your success in the Lord will result in the ultimate rejection and separation from those you love the most?  Have those who began the walk with you fallen aside. Do you feel alone and misunderstood?  What are you to do to avoid becoming cold and calloused just to survive the daily onslaught?

My dear prophet, they need what you are given. They might not understand this need, but that does not mean they don't need you. Our Lord's seeds have been planted within them and He lives within them. Feed and nurture them. Tend and love them.

Dear Prophet, On the Spot

Please remember that sometimes, when you are on the spot with God, that your adversaries are not fighting you, they are fighting against God.
Acts 5:38-39
“We should keep away from these men for now. We should leave them alone. I can guarantee that if the plan they put into action is of human origin, it will fail. However, if it’s from God, you won’t be able to stop them. You may even discover that you’re fighting against God.”
Be diligent about being pure before the Lord, but also give Him give Him free reign to work through you and stop doubting.
It is important that mankind does not hinder the work of God in your life, but it is just as important that you do not hinder Him either. Again I say, stop doubting yourself, or a better way to say it is: Stop doubting Him in you.
