The Reward from the Prophet

Jesus said, If you receive a prophet in the name of a prophet you receive a prophet’s reward.

Then in II Kings 4 we read that the prophet told the woman who had treated him so kindly that

would have a child within the year.  This is an example of receiving and being blessed by a prophet.

If they had not received him, how could they have received any reward?

And in this case… a child.  That is no small reward.

What about when the prophet stays in hiding and refuses to allow them to know he his a prophet?

I am not suggesting that a prophet go out and announce to the world they are a prophet of God, but

I am bringing this to you so it can be considered.  The Bible, in Ezekiel, the Lord says that they will know

that there is a prophet among them.  So, in some way, your status as a prophet will be revealed.  Just keep

being faithful and allow the Lord to do what He does.  I only bring these things to you to be considered.
