Expect the Unseen Work of the Lord

Expect the Unseen Work of the Lord

Scripture Readings:
• "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." — Proverbs 3:5–6 (NKJV)
• "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." — Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)
• "For we walk by faith, not by sight." — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)

Reflection:
As I woke, I heard the Holy Spirit say:

Do not fall into the common way of looking at situations. Instead, watch your steps and consider your actions carefully, always expecting that I am working behind the scenes. Do not force Me to step back by accepting the ordinary or settling for what is "normal." Expect Me to be doing something special — and I will be, even if you don't yet see or understand what I am doing.

We live in a world that pressures us to accept things at face value, to expect outcomes based on logic, trends, or human patterns. But as believers, we are called to live by a higher standard — by faith, not by sight.

God is always at work, orchestrating details far beyond what we can comprehend. When we choose to expect His supernatural involvement, we create room for Him to move freely. Our expectation becomes an invitation for His power to manifest in ways we cannot imagine.

Instead of shrinking our faith to match our circumstances, we must elevate our vision to match His promises. Even when we don't know what He is doing, we can rest assured that He is doing something good and purposeful.

Prayer:
Father, help me to look beyond the ordinary and to trust that You are always working behind the scenes on my behalf. Strengthen my faith so that I do not settle for what is common or expected, but instead live with constant expectation of Your goodness and miraculous power. I choose to believe that You are doing something special in my life today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Reflective Question:
Where in your life have you accepted the "common" view instead of expecting God's extraordinary work? Ask the Holy Spirit to show you, and write down what He reveals.
