🔹When an Intercessor Trembles: Understanding Spiritual Sensitivity in Medical Settings

Have you ever noticed yourself trembling or feeling physically weak around medical environments or medical professionals? For some believers — especially those called as intercessors — this isn't simply a reaction of fear. It may point to a deeper spiritual reality.

▪️It Might Not Be Fear — It Might Be Discernment

Many intercessors are highly sensitive to spiritual atmospheres. They can literally feel the burdens, agreements, or spiritual climates present in certain places.

In the medical field, there is often:
• A heavy presence of sickness, pain, and death — both physical and spiritual.
• A spirit of human control or self-sufficiency (trusting in man above God).
• Fear-based agreements (fear of death, fear of diagnosis, fear of losing control).
• At times, religious spirits of hopelessness or fatalism ("This is terminal; there's nothing anyone can do").

An intercessor might pick up these spiritual realities instantly and tremble — not because they are personally afraid, but because they are sensing intense spiritual warfare and carrying deep compassion.

🔹Answering the Call to Intercede: What Changes When You Say Yes?

▪️Before the Call

Many believers walk confidently in their own faith and personal devotional lives. They feel emotionally stable because they are primarily focused on their own burdens and those of their immediate circle. Their prayers tend to be more general:
• "God bless my family, my church, my city."

While they may possess spiritual gifts, these gifts might not yet be fully activated or directed toward intercession. They live faithfully, but without a deep sense of carrying the weight of others' spiritual struggles.


🔹When the Call to Intercession Comes

When a believer answers the divine invitation to become an intercessor, something profound begins to shift.

Just like God speaks to us day and night, the

intercessor often prays to God both day and night. Our spirit stays awake and we will pray while we sleep. 

The intercessory dream, much like the mysteries we pray out in our prayer language, will bypass our logic and rational minds and get to the root of spiritual problems overcoming them in the night. 

You can experience in a dream long, intense fighting using different kinds of weapons, or see yourself doing the work of a "sniper" against an enemy or a demonic spirit. 

Some will dream that they are on a military assignment and are protecting something very valuable with everything they've got. 

How these dreams express themselves can be endless, and intercessors will often tell you that these kinds of dreams can be exhausting! If you are having such dreams, I want to assure that the Lord will give you His strength to intercede in this manner. It's not just a dream. You are really praying and having an impact.

My prayer for you today: Heavenly Father, You never sleep and You never slumber. You are Our protector both day and night and are calling for intercessors to be on duty day and night, even in their sleep. I ask You to release dreams of intercession in the night. Dreams that watch, dreams that protect, and dreams that dismantle demonic plans sent against your people and the cities they live in. I ask that You not allow Satan to use the cover of night to get his plans accomplished to steal, kill, or destroy. In Jesus name. ~ Amen.
