One of my heart's passions has been that our silver haired brothers and sisters, our spiritual elders, our "been there, done that " elders are being stolen from us under the guise of tradition that tells us that at a certain age one is expected to get old and die.
I do not believe this. I believe we need to pray and cover them. The youth of our churches are zealous and energetic, but they lack the experience needed. My passion boils when we lose another leader. "How sad," people say ... "We'll miss so and so..." they console.
Hogwash I say! These are our elders that the enemy has stolen. Until we can understand this, we will continue to lose our great resources of strength and wisdom.
