We want to fit in. We are created that way.
Don't we desire that we can laugh and be as light hearted as those around us who seem to have no cares at all.
For the one called to the office of a prophet, this is not going to
happen. When the prophet begins to understand and see with the eyes of
the Lord all that is going on in situations, they are immediately
reminded that the laughter of today is temporary and that only the joy of eternity will endure.
Remember the day you answered His call on your life with joy and great
expectation. Will you now complain that your eyes have been opened and
you see the truth of the temporal. Yes. You will complain. But be
quick to repent. Also consider, many times we make things much harder
than they should be. There are parts of our makeup that have yet to be
converted. We still try to handle things that we do not need to handle.
But, still... if it hurts and we still keep coming back, then that's good. We will grow up.
Keep pressing in.
